Naomi imports your Google Meet transcripts and generates communication assessments. No bot joins your meeting.
Requirements
- A Naomi account.
- A Google Workspace plan with Meet transcripts. Google lists Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Workspace Individual.
- Transcription turned on for the meeting. Turn it on during the meeting from Meeting tools, then Transcribe, or set it to start automatically when you create the meeting.
How to connect
- Sign in to Naomi at app.getnaomi.com.
- Go to Settings, open the Overview tab, and find “Connect Your Calls”.
- On the Google Meet card, select Connect.
- Read what Naomi accesses, then select Continue to Google.
- Sign in to Google and allow access. The Meet permission is required. Calendar is optional.
- Back in Naomi, the card shows Connected, and you get a confirmation email.
Permissions
Naomi’s access is read-only:
- Your Google identity (
openid, email, profile), to identify your account. - Meet (
meetings.space.readonly), to read your meetings and their transcripts and participants. - Calendar events (
calendar.events.readonly, optional), to find meetings you attend but do not organize, and to title your calls. Without it, Naomi covers meetings you organize.
Naomi does not request Drive access and never downloads audio or video.
What happens after you connect
When a meeting with transcription ends and Google finishes the transcript, Naomi imports it and runs the assessment.
Meetings you organize come in on their own. Meetings you attend can come in when they are on your Google Calendar and you allowed Calendar access.
To keep a call out of Naomi, make sure transcription stays off. If someone allowed to turn it on does so, Naomi can import it. Naomi does not notify other people in a meeting that you use Naomi. Follow your company’s rules and local law.
Importing past meetings
On the Google Meet card, select “Sync recent meetings” to see meetings from the last 30 days, up to the 60 most recent. Meetings without transcripts cannot be imported.
Troubleshooting
A call has not appeared
Google processes the transcript after the meeting ends, and longer meetings take longer. If a call doesn’t appear after a few hours, check that transcription was on, then use Sync recent meetings on the Google Meet card.
“Reconnect needed” on the card
Naomi lost access to your Google account. Reconnect from Settings. Your existing calls are kept.
Calendar notice on the card
You did not allow Calendar. Reconnect and allow it to cover meetings you do not organize.
You can’t disconnect or delete
A call may still be processing. Naomi says: “A call is still processing. Try again in a few minutes.”
Google is down
Naomi says so and stays connected. Try again later.
No Workspace plan with transcripts
Paste a transcript through Analyze a call instead.
How to disconnect
In Settings, open the Overview tab, find “Connect Your Calls”, and select Disconnect on the Google Meet card, then confirm. Naomi revokes its access with Google and stops receiving meeting notifications. Your existing calls stay in your account.
You can also remove Naomi at myaccount.google.com. The card then shows Reconnect needed, and Naomi can no longer access your Google data.
To delete your data, delete a single call from its call page, or delete all transcripts, all calls, or your account in Settings under Configuration, then Your data.
Data handling
Anthropic’s Claude models analyze each transcript, and OpenAI turns passages of it into search embeddings. Naomi reaches both through OpenRouter, its AI gateway. Results are stored in your Naomi account. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
